Douglas and Louise Caird
Beverley was born in Auckland but, with her father working for New Zealand Police, she spent time in many parts of New Zealand.
As an avid sportswoman she represented three provinces at tennis and two at badminton. Beverley was interested in all sports and had so much knowledge about them you would think she had played the games herself.
She worked in seven government departments during her working career, meeting Ross, her husband to be, at one of them. They married in 1955. He subsequently passed away in 1989.
Beverley was a determined lady, but she was always very kind to people who were in need. Many a youngster was assisted with financial help in attaining their diplomas or degrees. She was a person to whom many people turned for common-sense advice and friendship.
