The 2018 Acorn Foundation Christine Tustain Sport BOP Award has been presented to Tauranga board sailor, Veerle ten Have.
Tauranga board sailor Veerle ten Have is the 2018 winner of the Acorn Foundation Christine Tustain Sport BOP Award. Veerle is the fourth winner of this annual award that rewards a local athlete who is excelling on the world stage in their chosen sport. Veerle, who last week won the Aon Emerging Talent award and a performance award at the Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards, is aiming to represent New Zealand in boardsailing at the 2020 Olympics in Japan. Congratulations to Veerle—and a great big thank you to Christine Tustain for her ongoing support of local athletes.
