Jo Gravit

Jo has been involved in community activities and education since her family moved to Te Puna in 1973, first dairying and then orcharding for the past thirty years.

After twelve years in Wellington as a Chief Executive, followed by nine years as a Western Bay of Plenty District Councillor, Jo is now utilising her experience to participate in committee work for various groups ranging from a budget service and community housing trust to a national home support provider and a local environment care group.

Jo says, "The Acorn Foundation is making a difference, and I am proud to be able to play a small part in this."
