2020 winner of the Eva Trowbridge scholarship announced
The Acorn Team were delighted to award the 2020 Acorn Foundation Eva Trowbridge Scholarship to Tracey Simmonds. Tracey is the 14th winner of this prestigious scholarship at the University of Waikato, Tauranga campus that honours adult students over the age of 25. Tracey is going into her final year of her Social Work degree and has just finished a placement at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. She was chosen for her strong grades and her empathetic approach to those she serves that was described in the following way: “With Tracey’s life experiences and her passion to empower people, she will be an incredible asset to the community.” Congratulations, Tracey!
