Jan Hickson

1952 - 2025

Jan was a beloved mum to Rebecca and Kotua, and a treasured Nan to Kerenga, Ihaia, Te Rangipikitia and Te Kiri. Raised in Tauranga and educated at Tauranga Girls’ College, Jan remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life.

She gave generously of her time and skills, including serving on the Acorn Foundation Board and Distributions Committee from 2010 to 2013. Jan loved the outdoors, especially skiing, and will be remembered for her warmth, integrity and genuine care for others.
