Frank & Fay Sleath Music Scholarship

The Frank & Fay Sleath Music Scholarship was established in 2026 by Frank and Fay Sleath, long-time Tauranga residents who believe deeply in the power of music to enrich lives and build confidence in young people.

Frank and Fay have lived in Tauranga for more than 50 years and have been married for over 60. Music has always been an important part of their lives. Frank plays several instruments, including the clarinet and violin, and together they enjoy attending live performances whenever they can.

More recently, Frank and Fay attended a number of performances at their retirement village, where young musicians from local Tauranga schools were invited to perform. Watching these talented students share their passion and confidence through music inspired Frank and Fay to give back in a way that would directly support young people at the beginning of their musical journey.

This scholarship has been created to support a student who shows both strong musical ability and a genuine passion for continuing their music studies beyond school.
