Scholarships: Outward Bound Tangaroa Watch 2019

We had a fun time at The Kollective recently, celebrating the 14 Year 12 students who were granted scholarships to the Outward Bound Tangaroa Watch programme in 2019.

Recipients of the scholarship included: PJ Reihana, Torin Bryant, Thomas Bolus, Conor Reynolds, Kyara Evans, Sophia Spurr, Daemin Warrilow Cameron, Daniel Morgan, Amelie Clements, Scarlett Clarke, Flyn Samuel, Gabrielle Topp, Lydia Angus, Paige Cox.

Over 21 days, the students challenged their beliefs and themselves through a variety of activities held in the Outward Bound school and its surrounds in Queen Charlotte Sound.

The students, from six Bay of Plenty schools – Tauranga Boys' College, Otumoetai College, Papamoa College, Te Puke High School, Whakatane High School and Katikati College - were selected for their leadership and commitment at school.

Thanks so much to our committed Acorn donors and other local supporters who provide these scholarships which provide such a life-changing physical, mental and emotional challenge to local students each year!
