Living with motor neurone disease is a challenging, life-altering journey, it gradually weakens the nerves that control movement, speech, swallowing and breathing, touching every area of someone’s life.  The Motor Neurone Disease Association steps in to walk alongside people and their whānau from anywhere in New Zealand (including our region), helping them live with as much dignity, support and connection as possible. 

They offer personalised, free support and advocacy: helping people understand their options, connect to equipment and services, navigate difficult decisions, and stay culturally safe and supported.
