About Mums4Mums

Mums4Mums began in Tauranga as a grassroots response when a social worker asked for help supporting a lone migrant mum with twin boys. What started as one-mum helping another has grown into a full-blown community charity supporting hundreds of mums and babies up to 24 months old with social, emotional and practical support. 

Their volunteers visit homes, step in with caring companionship, offer relief and practical help, and connect whānau with broader services.  Whether it’s helping a new mum settle, supporting a migrant parent without family nearby, or easing the load when baby-days feel overwhelming, Mums4Mums is about being there quietly, gently, and with compassion.
