Youth Encounter Ministries Trust

Youth Encounter’s vision is to see young people encountering their God-given potential to grow and become the incredible people they were created to be. Their mission is to unleash and release the potential in young people through a sense of belonging and value that gives them hope for their future. Through exciting and engaging activity-based programs, they use Youth Encounter’s Arotika ki te Kaupapa track theory of change concept to journey with their young people on a pathway towards a positive future.

Programmes include:

Encounter Mentoring – An activity-based program connecting youth with positive role models to support and journey through life experiences for up to a 12-month period

Encounter Therapy - Empowering marginalised rangatahi through the activity of dirt bike riding and surfing alongside counselling

Encounter Connect - A supportive and inclusive community for people to belong to with regular gatherings including activity, kai and korero

Encounter Mahi - Preparing youth for employment and transitioning them into a suitable workplace

Encounter Leadership – Identifying, training and empowering young leaders

Encounter Camps - A camp experience to discover more about life and connect with others
