About the Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival
The Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival is a bi-annual celebration of our region’s creativity, beauty and community spirit. Stretching across Tauranga and the wider Western Bay, the festival opens the gates to over 70 incredible gardens. From charming urban sections to expansive country landscapes, and pairs them with the work of more than 100 talented artists exhibiting across studios, galleries and garden spaces.
It’s more than just a walk around pretty gardens. The festival invites visitors to wander a curated “Garden & Art Trail” from Katikati to Te Puke, to meet the creators, to pause in the festival hub “Bloom in the Bay” for live music, art, workshops, good food and meaningful conversations.
For the West Bay community, this festival is an anchor of cultural life: it supports local artists, opens private gardens to the public, encourages pride in place, offers inspiration and joy, and brings people together around nature, creativity and connection.
